Keiser Family Page

Welcome to the Keiser Family Page
Life is busy all the time ... and it is so hard to keep everyone posted on all of the things that go on.
Here is where we will post news about all fo the things going on in our lives.

DarrylDarryl Keiser

There is no one more consistent, disciplined, or determined than Darryl. This year has proven to be a new adventure for him as he joined the Yuba College Police Acadamy. It will take him 18 months to complete it, and at the end, we will see if it leads to a reserve position or maybe a career change. He finished the first of three modules, but the program has been on hold and we are waiting for news on when it will start back up. Right now we are taking one step at a time and just seeing which doors open and which doors close.

Darryl is a quiet man. He doesn't say much. But when he does, it usually causes someone around him to think hard or laugh harder!

Life has been so exciting these last couple of years! I have been working as a Desktop Publisher and at establishing a client base all over California. Most of my clients come through Safety Management Consultation Services, a safety consulting business that works primarily with construction companies out of San Francisco and L.A. The owner of that company hired me in 2004 to do desktop publishing for him, and in 2007 invited me to move my own desktop publishing business into a partnership with him. This has been fantastic! It has given me an office in Yuba City to base my business out of and has allowed me to really grow in a number of ways.

In April of 2006 I became a God-Mother! Jack Louis Buschmann Kirchner was born to my high school friends Lisa Buschmann and Wade Kirchner. They purchased a great Hacienda-style home that we affectionately call "The Villa" and we spend a lot of time there out by the swimming pool or learning to play craps.

In January of 2008, I joined WeightWatchers On-Line program. I've lost 65 lbs. I'm feeling better, I have more energy and am wearing smaller clothes!

I am enjoying life and appreciating some healthy relationships with new and old friends.

Joe Swearing In

In May of 2008 Joseph turned 18 and one week later graduated from high school. He moved out that weekend to stay with some friends and "experience life" for a couple weeks before he left for the Army. He shipped out for Fort Benning, GA on September 16th, 2008. He finished bootcamp, AIT, Airborne & Ranger Indoctrination Program and was then transferred to Ft. Lewis near Seattle.

While in Seattle he met Kira Russell. They GOT MARRIED on October 12, 2009 and Joseph was transferred to Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. They have moved Kira out there now and are settling in to a little 3-bedroom house just outside the base.

Josh
Josh Hanging out

Joshua is in the 5th Grade. He seems to love all things about school except unfair people. He is good reader and great at math. Right now he spends most of his time enjoying His new Nintendo DS that he bought all by himself with his hard-earned money. His best friends are Nick from down the street aJoe & Kira
nd Brett at church. He also loves to spend time with Caitlin when we join her parents at Starbucks after church.

He LOVES to hang out with his dad. Lately his favorite thing to do with Dad is get up at 5:30 on Friday morning and go to the "Men's Breakfast". Josh is always ready to go and as he leaves, in the deepest voice he can muster, he states, "Let's go, Dad. I'm a man!"

Joshua is great at helping around the house, and seems to have a bit of a musical ear. Josh seems to also have a magic touch with animals. If we are going to PetCo or PetSmart, we always have to plan extra time so that he can check out all of the animals and meet all the animals who have come with their owners.

Duke the wonder dog

My days are full as well ... early in the morning as Dad gets out of bed, I take my turn in it. I finish off my beauty sleep by jumping up in bed with Mom and snuggling up as close as I can. When the alarm finally goes off, my duties include reminding Mom that I need a bite of food and a little drink of water before I go out for the day. I love to tease my "brother" Josh by tugging at his pant leg and trying to trip him up while he gets ready for school. I really like to try to grab his things when he is getting ready to dessert me for the day. He doesn't like it so much. When I can't take it any longer I give a little growl to Mom to let her know that I may have waited too long and she really needs to let me outside. I hesitate to go outside, because I know I probably won't get to come back in. Mom usually has to scoot me on out the door anyway.

During the day I cruise around the yard, perfecting my speed and corner turns as I ward off anyone passing by that might consider approaching my families home. I yell at them really loud to stay away. I'm really good at warding off 3rd grade girls on bikes. I am a superhero to my family when it comes to renegade plastic bags that sail their way into the yard!

Eventually my family returns. When they let me in I run around the house to check that everything is still okay. I might play with brother Josh. It is my duty to take the rope to Daddy and remind him that he loves to play tug-of-war. Eventually, after a long day of hard work, I find someone's feet to lay on top of and snuggle up to. It is a good life.
